The New Orleans Saints added another safety on Saturday, picking Saquan Hampton out of Rutgers with the 177th overall in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
The 6-foot-1, 206-pound Hampton had 64 tackles, three for loss and three interceptions for the Scarlet Knights in 2018.
The Saints also took Florida safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson in the fourth round, so it’s likely the team expects Hampton to develop into a special teams contributor. ...
