Saints entire staff are at LSU Pro Day (2 Viewers)

Nabers is the best WR in the draft.. but a diamond in the rough.......

Ricky Pearsall

I think he will be Lance Moore level.

Only if you also insist that Jonas Valančiūnas is a modern space creating big. 😂

I ask this in peace as one who's not watched a single down of LSU football....is there any Tiger the Saints should avoid?
I don’t know about “avoid” and some of it isn’t completely his fault but maason smith has concerned me the past season or so. The ACL obviously wasn’t his fault but he didn’t look good at all in 2023 until somewhat rebounding late. He’s going to be over drafted imho.

I’d rather Jefferson in the 6th for a tigers Dlineman who produced well. He and wingo were the only decent ones last year on a terrible defense.

Gotcha. Thank you for the insight. 😊

Agreed. And I think Smith only did 21 reps on the bench at his Pro-Day. That's low for a DT and tells me he isn't committed to getting stronger which I think was also reflected on the field. Frankly, the entire LSU interior line was getting pushed around last year. They had to wheel Pete Jenkins to the sideline again to try to help them not get blown off the ball. Jefferson did probably play the best, but he is like you said probably a 6th or 7th round guy. Wingo has talent, but we didn't see it much last year.

But, I think the problem is that the LSU defense and scheme was so terrible last year that it's hard to evaluate the individual players. Even Perkins looks pretty average in that defense and we know he isn't average.

I do think Omar Speights would be an interesting mid to late round option at LB. He was very good at Oregon State but never looked right at LSU. That likely was more about bad coaching, bad scheme, and bad DL play than him suddenly becoming a bad player.
