Saints fans unite - don’t watch the NFL playoffs on Peacock (1 Viewer)

I'm skipping the playoffs and Superbowl.

Primarily because the NFL still owes me as far as Im concerned. I havent forgiven them for the Rams Robbery.

I dont even watch that many regular Saints games any more.

Who doesn’t have ESPN at this point? It’s a standard part of every cable package, I know some people do not have cable but that’s the exception rather than the norm.

It’s also easier these days to cancel cable, the streaming cable options like YTTV are month to month.
Actually as of 2022 the norm is streaming or broadcast. Fewer people have cable than streamers/broadcast.

Wonder if they will show replay later in the week on NFL Channel. The weather alone could make it a very interesting game.

Tyreek Hill and the Dolphins face the Chiefs in the AFC wild-card round. Kansas City has won four in a row against Miami after a 21-14 triumph in Germany in Week 9. Hill, traded by the Chiefs in 2022, led the NFL with 1,799 receiving yards this year.

Normally I would watch every single playoff game but I’ll skip this one. I’ve got zero reasons to sign up for Peacock and I’m not going to do so for one game. I’ve got Amazon Prime Video only because I already subscribe to the Prime service.

I was really ticked that NBC put a Sunday, regular season game, on Peacock. I paid for Sunday Ticket and as far as I’m concerned, that game should be on my Youtube TV stream.

Doesn't Peacock have a free tier, not just the one for Comcast users?

Peacock already paid for it - the league cares about what the networks will pay, not necessarily how many people will actually tune in. Peacock is throwing money at content to try to on-board new customers - it's a big picture/long viewpoint.

There's just no reason to intentionally chose to boycott the game for spite. If you don't want to buy a sub to watch it, that's totally fair - there's a lot of services out there now, it makes sense to not want to get all of them. But the idea that it's making a statement to choose not to watch it if you otherwise have it or want to get it seems misplaced.

If the ratings are bad then it gets written off as a failed experiment. If they're good look for more games being streamed by random pay channels. Them it will snow ball.
