Yes, Terry Joseph is a local native. Cousin to Mickey and Vance. Terry was class of '92 and played baseball at Shaw as well as WR on the football Eagles. Mickey and then Vance (both a smidge older than Terry) were QBs on what was quite the prolific veer-option offense for the Eagles back then.

I certainly recall how good Shaw was back when they had Joesphs at QB. They ran the Catholic League back in the mid-to-late 80s.

Terry also went to play minor-league baseball. He was a teammate of Kerry Wood, if memory serves, before Wood made it to the majors.

The Eagles back then mirrored the Brees-era Saints in that, yes, they won a state title in '87 but really should've won at least two more. Sound familiar?

Yep. We could never beat Shaw the years I was at Brother Martin. I was ‘85
