Saints making a push to sign Cooper Kupp [Cooper Kupp signs with Seahawks to a 3-year, $45 million deal]

I find it funny that there is so much relief from what Loomis didn’t do more than there is excitement for what he has done. Shows the faith we have have in him as a GM right now.
What he DID do was not overpay or try to outbid another team. You’re trying way too hard to manufacture “fails” for Loomis. Save it for the times he really does make a blunder.

And get over the fact that they didn’t cut Carr. Your position had merit but had major drawbacks. So far, we’ve been very reasonable and prudent in free agency.

I’m glad we didn’t get him. He is a declining player. We can spend that money somewhere else.
Some of the best free agent moves are the ones you don’t make.

Yeah, I have some question marks about his health and frankly he's not the player he was.
Absolutely.

Since his record-breaking season, he hasn't been the same guy.

After Michael Thomas had his two great years in 2018-19, he had a similar falloff, although injuries played a big part in that.

We’ve been exactly what people who have a disdain for Loomis keep saying he won’t do. This is the 3rd year running he’s shown restraint.

People keep forgetting we didn’t end up w/ Deshaun Watson because we weren’t willing to overpay for him.

But last year we were measured in FA. He said this year we’d again be measured and we have…but if you hate him you simply ignore it and convince yourself he’s overpaying

It gets old debating but whatevs

That's is insane money for a once great but clearly declining veteran WR....

For less money we could have maybe lured Becton who is younger and at a position of need as well....

And we still don’t have a #1 or large body receiver.
That may be, but this player (with this contract) clearly wasn’t the solution, so I have no issue with not trying to outbid that deal and continuing to search.
