Can I interest you in enough playoff wins to win a Super Bowl and get to 4 NFC Championship games?

Loomis also said that we had the next Chuck Knoll. They will? Didn’t Loomis say that he expects the hiring to be a long, thorough process?

That was with the Packers, no?
And I'll reiterate, no HC has won SBs with 2 different teams.
So a coach that has been every bit as successful as Sean Payton is equivalent to Watson? Well, that’s interesting.COMON CHICAGO! Do us a favor the same way Cleveland did with Watson!
Why is that relevant? The question is can this guy coach? Can he run offenses that are consistently in the top 10 in the league? Is he a proven winner? He checks all of the boxes and then some. That was with the Packers, no?

Yeah, I mean, it's almost as bad as comparing him to Carr, lol.So a coach that has been every bit as successful as Sean Payton is equivalent to Watson? Well, that’s interesting.
I promise I do not mean any disrespect. However, could you imagine a GM ever even considering this in the slightest when discussing a possible candidate for their head coaching position? We both know the answer to that question is absolutely no, it would never be brought up. It’s hard as heck to even get to the Super Bowl much less winning. Only seven coaches in history have led multiple teams to the Super Bowl with different organizations. However, the last thing the Saints need to be worried about right now is a Super Bowl because they have an entire roster that needs to be rebuilt from the floor up. The guy that can best do that needs the job, regardless who it is.Reid didn't win a ring in Philly, and no other Superbowl coach has gone somewhere else and won one.
Yes, before McCarthy became available. No doubt Loomis was aware that McCarthy might be a possibility, but it wasn’t definite when he made the comment. They will? Didn’t Loomis say that he expects the hiring to be a long, thorough process?
Tell us you have no idea or no true recollection of what actually happenedWhat a short memory some of you have. Do y’all not remember when he was our OC in the Haslett regime? If so you remember the complete collapse of Aaron Brooks and the year that McCarthy refused to bench Brooks when all we needed was to win 1 game of our final 3 but McCarthy and his arrogance would not put Jake Delhomme in or start any of those games. When we got to the final game of the season it was the last chance and he still would not start or put Delhomme in the game. Before anybody says “well obviously he wasn’t ready” the very next year Delhomme takes Carolina to the Superbowl!! You really want someone who made these kind of decision mistakes to be our HC? No way!
if we pass on mccarthy, i'm going to load up on the kafka train just for the melt enjoyment.
It’s no different than hiring Sean back. Literally one in the same when comparing numbers.Don’t like it. Don’t care what his regular season record is.
