Everyone has their own opinion on what the flag means/represents, and everyone has the right to voice their opinion/displeasure

It's disrespectful to the men and women that fought for and died for that flag, the symbol of the country they loved.

Everyone has their own views, and views things in their own way. Drew views the anthem as a time to pay respect to the flag and all it represents.

The next man may not view it that way, and both of them have all the right to disagree with each other.

Nobody died for that flag. They died for our rights, the first of which is the freedom to protest.

The National Anthem is a patriotic song that symbolizes America’s core value: freedom.

The "song" is the 1st stanza of a 4 stanza poem written by Francis Scott Key. It's the 3rd stanza which has the problem from reports I've read, specifically where it refers to "hireling and slave".

Astonishing how everything he's done for New Orleans is just dimissed so abruptly. Over a simple matter of personal opinion that I'm sure black players all over the league share.

Michael Thomas absolutely has the right to kneel this season and I fully believe in that right. However, fans of the NFL also have the right to stop watching because they disagree with the way he is protesting.
