I mean at some point last night our top 2 staring CBs, one starting Safety, and 1 starting LB were injured. And Alontae Taylor is playing with a hurt shoulder. It's not an excuse, but it is a fact.

Seems like every year the Saints have a bunch of injuries... This year takes the cake.

That's true. But, they all have a job to do even if they are on a team that is going nowhere this year. So, when they are healthy enough to play, they play.

I just don’t get the sense the defense is built correctly w/ where it’s best resources are allocated.

I also think it’s suffering from the same issues as Payton’s offense under Peat where it’s been built on so much and some of the players are so tenured that it isn’t being taught from scratch. They need to strip it down to the core and focus on just the skeleton of it, like we kind of did in 2017 once we got our nucleus.
