Saints request interview with Kellen Moore (2 Viewers)

I like that we’re looking at the offensive side here but I’m not a fan of Moore. Cowboys fans I know don’t want him.

Kellen Moore, being a Boise State guy, is a person I am very familiar with. His father was a successful high school coach so he’s been on this path his whole life. He set records as the BSU QB before going to the NFL as a backup QB. He has had success as an assistant in the NFL, most notably his work in Dallas. He was marginal in LA, but seems to have done well in Philly. He’sa good person to have on the list. I think his knock is similar to Payton, sometimes he gets a little pass happy.

He seems to be doing just fine in Philadelphia. How much autonomy do you think he had in Dallas working under Jason Garrett and Mike McCarthy? Both of whom were former offensive play callers.
He was horrific in Dallas, then went to Chargers and burnt their Offense to the ground, caused Their RB to leave and their head Coach to get fired. He isn’t doing anything special in Philly, he simply is managing a good roster with Barkley having a crazy year.

From Saintswire:
For those that are wondering what a Kellen Moore offense looks like, one of the most prominent aspects of his system is his usage of motion. Moore does a phenomenal job of keeping the defense on their toes with lots of pre-snap movement offensively. He has also done a good job of molding his offensive to fit the strengths of his personnel.

Kellen moore need to learn how easy off the pedal instead of focussing on most potent offense, like Payton learned.
Score too fast and often your defense gets worn out fast, and can't make that play end game to deal it

Has Loomis given a press conference yet and discussed his 2025 plans? I haven't seen anything yet. Just posted tweets on who the Saints are asking to interview.

I think that may be tomorrow or the next day. And I expect very level headed reactions to everything he has to say.

Yes, we really need to make sure that our next head coach doesn't score too many points. 😀

Seriously, I get what you are saying, but I'd rather just score the points and figure out how to design a defense that can deal with the fatigue rather than struggle to score all game long. And frankly, there is no better way to stop the run than making sure the other team has to abandon the run because you scored so many points.
