Honestly, I wouldn’t blame Kingsbury for being patient and more selective about his next head coaching job, having a disappointing stint on his resume already. I think that puts him in a different situation than the other candidates.

He's the guy I wanted and was holding out hope that he'd take a shot on us. Just like with Joe Brady, he's taking a big chance. Look what happened to Bobby Slowik, went from hot up and coming coach to fired in a years time. But I get that Kingsbury is still getting paid like a HC so it makes more sense for him to stick where he is.

I liked Kingsbury too but I couldn't see him coming here with our QB situation and him still getting paid as a HC. And as DavidM mentioned above, he's a guy with one more shot to be an NFL HC after getting fired from his first job. He has to be very selective about his next job because he's not going to get another one if he fails again.
