I’m pretty convinced as for now Rattler is the plan for the future unless some how Cam Ward falls to us or if we’re able to draft a top tier QB in the 2026 draft with a top 3 pick.

Reiterating what I posted last week about it being interesting they sign Clyde Edwards-Helaire at the same time Joe Brady was in the mix for the HC job.

He deserves a look-see. I've read he won't exactly be a great speech-giver at pressers, but then again, neither was Belichick.

Not surprised by this interview request. Gotta uncover every stone and he’s a hot name right now. I’d still be surprised if he’s hired. There are some maturity and leadership concerns with him but hopefully he’s had growth, knocks the interview out the park and can earn his way into the job.

Similar to David Shaw, worst case scenario is you get to pick someone’s brain about your team for a day or two. Maybe something profound gets said that helps you along the interview process and/or you can pass it on to whoever you do end up hiring.

But also less history. He worked for the Saints before, worked down the road to make the best offenses in college history 5 years ago so will have immediate massive fan support, and there are some familiar players here as well. Given the history with Payton, the lure of solidified backing and time to grow, while growing the roster will also be appealing.

After 1 bad season by Pederson and he gets canned, candidates are going to be as skeptical as they were with the Panthers front office last offseason. Especially first time head coaches because this could end up being their only shot. Any first time coach with any humility will know they will have some growing pains.

I said when DA was finally ChitCanned that Brady should be our #1 target... Then Ben Johnson... and if we miss on both... We almost have to go with Gruden.

Here's hoping we get Joe.... Because I don't think we will have a real shot at Johnson... And Gruden (while I think he can turn things around and demand accountability) is not a long term solution.

I don't even know if I want Johnson anymore. His demands and reports of his attitude are screaming insane amounts of arrogance. I suspect he may end up being extremely difficult to work and play for, and may end up tanking in a big way.

I like that we’re looking offensively but I’m not a fan of Brady. Daboll rode that bills OC job to a HC spot and was a borderline firing candidate this year. Triplett said Payton didn’t think highly of him when he was here. Didn’t do anything special in Carolina. Hasn’t worked for any of the organizations I want to emulate.
