Saints requested to interview Bills OC Joe Brady (3 Viewers)

Everyone seems to be fixated on the shiny object.... offense...aka Joe Brady...that's Kool, but remember he has no head coaching experience...none!! Football is more than offense. Oh, and I'm a LSU fan also.

So out of our current candidate list, Vrabel and Rizzi are the only ones for you?

In 2020 he produced a Carolina offense with four different players reaching over 1k yards from scrimmage with Teddy Bridgewater running the show. And the only player of that group doing anything meaningful in the league today is DJ Moore. The other three skill players? Robby Anderson, Curtis Samuel, and Mike Davis.

I think that qualifies for doing a lot with little talent. I’m also not an LSU fan, so it’s not a Homer opinion lol.
And just where did Car rank in team offense ?? 24th And those players just barely made 1000yds

It's crazy that LSU needed an extra game to break those offensive records...*runs out* lol

Let's put this in it's proper perspective; the 2020 Carolina Panthers had 4 players with over 1000 yards of total offense and lost 8 games by 8 points or less. With his first NFL OC job, it was a learning experience but the truth is, if Teddy B and Joe Brady stayed in Carolina another season, they would have made some noise. Still hate the way that Teddy B was scapegoated there....

And making the offense better by relying on that "top 3" QB's arm less than anyone before him. Buffalo is a run first offense...

But I do believe that he learned from this. If you got back and listen to what Teddy said, he said "for Joe Brady's growth."

Again, without CMC, the 2020 Panthers had FOUR players with over 1k yards of total offense. That wasn't done before him and it wasn't done after him. This seasons Bills with an MVP candidate can't even accomplish that with an extra game (which actually points to how good Teddy B was at quarterbacking.) 4 seasons ago was his first time as an OC and Teddy B laid it out for him. I don't know what you use as the basis of him not being ready but you are not looking at the totality of that 2020 season. Yes, the red zone and 2-minute offense was bad but that was then. Believing he can't grow in 4 seasons is wild, especially when the offense he ran in Carolina was pretty potent, outside of the RZ, without their franchise player.
OK so those 4 players except for Moore who got just under 1200yds they all just barely broke 1000yds , Let's look at where Car ranked in team offense, 24th. It's all about points scored. Having 4 guys barely break 1000 just means that it was spread around.

They are more run-oriented due to Allen running more he has over 500 yds rushing and 12 Tds
With and elite QB and a very good stable of WR and a good RB he can still only manage a top 10 offense . Without all that he's gets the 24th ranked offense.
He's had 3yrs total as an OC and only half of them successful. Where on earth do you see culture changing leader of men HC material at this time?
I don't want an OTJ learning HC that will take a couple yrs to figure it out

We are not doing anything in 2025 and probably 2026 except rebuilding let him learn.

Literally every head coach in NFL history started off with no HC experience. 😂
It's not that, Brady has a total of 3yrs as an OC , half of them bad. He was a QB coach for 1/2 a yr He has very little coaching experience compared to almost every other HC candidate. Does he strike you as a culture builder , leader of men?
