Trade Talk Saints should trade for Tanner McKee. He’s better than Rattler or Haener and has WAY more upside than Carr. (11 Viewers)

McKee doesn't stretch the field, always takes the check downs, and while he didn't have Smith or Brown, he did have Dotson and Goedert, and they bailed him out a couple of times on some off target passes. Dotson and Goedert are probably a better pass catching combo than Rattler ever had. There are reasons he fell to the 6th round. He's unathletic, and does not run well. Slow 40 and shuttle times IIRC. He has a NEGATIVE college Career rushing total. He doesn't put enough touch on his passes, specifically shorter passes. I watched that eagles giants game. The hapless Giants got to with in a touchdown in the 4th quarter and McKee did not put them away by any mean. As a matter of fact, he took a HUGE sack in the 4th and the Giants were able to cut the lead to less than a touchdown.
His stat line looks okay that day, and yes, the eagles sat some first string guys, but they still had way more fire power than the Giants, and if you watched that game, McKee was not stellar and the giants were in that game until Drew Lock threw that late 4th quarter interception.

Not saying that McKee doesn't have upside and develop into a quality starter, but saying the 6th round pick who has played 1 mediocre game against the worst team in the NFL is Better than Rattler is WILD.
Sorry, i can't watch his highlights and sit here to pretend that half of what you typed has any truth to it.

Playing this video, it starts with his stats from an unimpressive 3-9 season against a bunch of powder puffs and shows 13 TDs and 8 picks. Not a brag point by any means. The commentator on the second highlight says "McKee is just 1 of his last 4 passes" on the 3rd highlight they are losing 30-7 to washington. How many passes did he have incomplete or intercepted before that "highlight" pass? Next highlight down 38-10, two highlights later the commentator says "he's missed on his last 5 passes." Yes, he had some good throws on the highlight film, but that in no way encompasses how he played all season.

Everyone wants to part ways with Carr "cause he cant put a team on his back and carry it" but they want they guy who couldn't get more than 3 wins in a season in the Pac 12.

McKee was drafted in the 6th round for a reason.

Wait, what are you typing? You say he can't make certain throws and he makes certain throws. He was on a bad stanford team. Keep your arguments straight please.

I liked him a lot coming out of Stanford. He was playing with a decimated roster (Stanford lost a lot bc of COVID transfers and struggled to replace it with transfers or even HS recruits because of their academic standards).

If Moore makes a play for him, you gotta think there’s a good reason for it.

Wow.

Daggone. Scouting another team's third string QB... and REMEMBERING all that? Well that's just impressive. No idea if accurate, but definitely impressive
