It has him listed as a corner. He's a safety. Need to see him compared to other safeties for apples to apples. Corners lacking in agility commonly move to safety. Since he's average for a corner, he's got to be above average at minimum for a safety.

He's not.

Said Ugo was an absolute beast in special teams, it’s all he really played.

Nothing wrong with 1-2 guys on your roster that are monsters on special teams.

I'm an avid Seattle fan and Ugo was NOT a monster on special teams for the Seahawks. He was just OK.

One thing I enjoyed about Payton was his standard for “exceptions”. To draft a player that doesn’t fit the “prototype” he has to be exceptional.

Granted this isn’t a drafted player he also said that if you keep bringing in exceptions before you know it you’ll have a roster full of them.

I hope DA doesn’t get away from this philosophy. In FA you can tell he doesn’t put much weight there but if you’re spending money on these players I’d expect them to have upside as well.

By definition, he is.

My usual response would have been... "that's a definite maybe" but in Ugo's case, my response remains "he's not".

He's a practice squad or a back end of the roster player that sees very limited snaps.

We all know by now that one of the picks we get for CJ Gardner-Johnson from the Eagles is the LOWER of their TWO 6th round picks in 2024. Now, here is the rest of the story. The reason they have 2 6th round picks in 2024 is they got one from the Titans in a trade for ..........................UGO AMADI!
