I saw a snap breakdown of him earlier and he takes most of his snaps on the inside so I’m guessing he’s actually more of a dt for us.

It's also part of the Saints yearly process of filling ever hole they have in free agency so that they can mostly go BPA in the draft. I do think they will be targeting certain positions, but they don't want to be forced to say take a DL for depth if there isn't one that has good value available. I suspect they will do the same at WR, OL, and QB (Watson or Winston).
