Is it a "clean play" even if you get flagged for roughing the passer, as was the case?

I mean, I get that that was a no-flag, "clean play" in 1990, but so was a hit to the head of a receiver going over the middle to catch the ball, knocking him unconscious.

Well, at least Caesar Ruiz doesn’t have to try to block him in a game. He’s the one who missed the block that led to Drew’s broken ribs. But, there’s everyday in practice….

He is 6-2 and 290, played DE in more of a 3-4 defense. He will likely play/start at three technique in our 4-3. We need that spot upgraded and this creates depth with Shy Tuttle. Great move based on potential, youth and connection to DL coach Nielson.

Yeah he will definitely be used at the 3 tech, that's where his style of play comes in, he will have the old "Rankins role" if you will. 3tech with disruption and sack capability

Agree. Also looks like SF, NO and Jets all covet the same types of players for their defensive system.

His body type reminds me of Rankins. Although he looks stronger than Rankins.

Street was part of dat nasty D line Coach Nielsen coached at NCST!

Fun side note: Street is now like the 3rd Saints DL player wit “ties” to Coach Nielsen from his college coaching days. Nielsen also recruited Shy Tuttle, who eventually signed with the VOLS, n Jalen Dalton, who eventually ended up at UNC. Safe to say the man knows the TYPE of of players he’s lookin for!

He signed his contract sitting in the front office on Airline. Official pics on the Saints website. Also saw the pics of Marcus Maye signing his contract.
