Saints starting safety Vonn Bell is a little larger these days, as he said he gained 10 pounds of muscle in the offseason to get up to 215 pounds.
Adding that weight was a conscious effort, he said, as the goal was to get bigger, stronger and faster ahead of his fourth season in the league.
"I was in the lab working,” Bell said of his offseason weight room work. “I was just grinding with my guys, Marshon (Lattimore), Eli (Apple), Alvin (Kamara) and a whole bunch of guys around the league. We were in there just competing every day. Pushing each other and getting better." ...
