I feel like both teams won in this trade. Latt goes to Wash and becomes their shutdown corner and we get badly needed, salary cap friendly young players (draft picks) to rebuild the team.

If Washington improves because they have Lattimore then they won. The one thing that hurts Washington on this trade is Lattimore's ability to stay on the field, although I question Latt's effort and want to be on the field the last couple of years. I'm not sure he ever bought into what DA was trying to sell and sometimes that can manifest in injury or lack of detail.

All and all if I am the Saints front office I'd feel pretty good about what they got. Lattimore was an aging, oft-injured player that was likely to be gone next year regardless. You get a couple good picks for him and also clear room for guys like Taylor and Kool-aid to get more experience.

And what is that? They did us a favor by giving us quite a respectable haul. Plus, I have no ill will toward marshon...I hope he does well. And Jayden Daniels is so easy to root for. Heck, I am rooting for them to go all the way at this point.

The more games they lose the better the picks become. Has nothing to do with ill will and everything to do with wanting the picks to be better picks. Not that it makes any difference if you root for a team or not.

I liked Latt, good CB for us but we needed to start somewhere, and we got a decent return for him.
