Really good insight by Deuce M. after practice. Said not to overreact to defensive line success today. Cited most of the plays were set up for third down so obvious passing downs. Backup center calling protection and rookie at LT. They were going against some premium rushers to include Gay as a rush LB. He said that is a lot to ask of your offensive line. He said wait till Friday when the offense adjusts and isn’t strictly in third down scenarios. I thought this was awesome analysis.

Being honest here, Saints might need to trade for a WR. Something about yesterday makes me cautious about Olave handling #1 duties in this offense.

More plays over the middle, more run blocking, more screens, and more expectations for contested catches exposes him to a lot more contact and Olave on the ground makes me hold my breath.

Would it be better maybe to sign someone like Renfrow or Gage? Maybe Julio Jones has something left to get us through the season and then draft a WR next yr

My concern is that teams will focus on CO and all we have is a kind of unproven Shaheed along with him and pretty much nothing after that. We need a somewhat proven WR in the room this yr. There are a few big body contested catch WR's in next yrs draft that we could target. And if Young plays like it looks like he will and we resign him that takes off the pressure to go DL in the 1st

People like to roast DA for being mild mannered, but his comments in TC about players like Miller, Foskey, and Perry needing to step up are pretty refreshing.

DA does seem to be a bit more firm and feisty this TC
