But then we get to real games and he is catching what's thrown to him. It will be interested to see if he is picked up on the waiver wire. We hear about practice but other teams have tape based on actual games. I'm not looking much into it but can somebody confirm if a 2nd year player can be outright released, because if so, him being waived could be for roster manipulation.

I wonder if there was some truth then to the reports when he came out of college that he was a malcontent? His interviews always seemed odd, he was melancholy. Idk, they definitely had an issue with him….guess we will never know.

I was rooting for him and still hope he can figure it out and do well.

It's the same as the final roster cutdowns. If he clears waivers, he is a free agent and able to sign with any team on their active roster or practice squad. If he is claimed off of waivers, he goes to that team's 53 man roster.

Perry has good potential to at least challenge for playing time I believe with any team. They couldn’t find a team to trade him for a 7th maybe a 6rd draft selection?

He never had dropped passes in games that’s all that really matters. It must be something else other than dropped passes in practice.

Meanwhile Cedrick Wilson hasn’t even recorded a stat in games he’s played so far but yet he’s still on the team.
