SEC officials (1 Viewer)

FALSE.... pay attention to the news more. It would have been a dead ball 15 yards BAMA first down.

As for Peterson... I agree it was bad but thats not why LSU loss. They loss because of inaccuracy of Lee.

I for one agree that LSU lost for other reasons; the refs were just a part of it. Frankly if they had better discipline they wouldn't have been in the position for the refs to determine the game to begin with.

I think most of us are looking at this game not as a "refs screwed LSU" game but rather as yet another example of the bad officiating we've seen from the SEC this year, and so many of the calls in favor of Bama and Florida. It just raises a lot of suspicion that the SEC is doing whatever it takes to keep them undefeated going into the SEC CG.

How would it have been a dead ball foul before the whistle blew?

And its lost, not loss - if you like being a prick.

Edit: I stand corrected. Thanks for being a ******* anyway.

There was also the other little fact of the least penalized team (up to that point) in the SEC getting flagged 8 times more than Bama during the game.
Not saying its impossible for a team to be flagged with 8 times as many penalties as an opponent - but it does raise some eyebrows.

16-5. Penalties against whoever is playing Bama vs. penalties against Bama in their past 2 close games.

That was the worst replay call I've ever seen - Peterson's catch would have been an interception in the NFL (he had both feet in). The SEC needs to fire all of the officials and start over - let the current officials interview again and explain there poor performance. If I screwed up at my job as bad as they do I would be walking out the door with my stuff in a box.

The officials are doing exactly what Slive is telling them to, why would he fire them?

another game validating the OP

I'm not one for tinfoil hat conspiracies, but this is starting to smell...

It was a really good game in the first half but the calls in the second half really diminished what could have been a great game.

It was still a really good game. I have my doubts of LSU's ability to score if the refs had reversed that call, but it would have been fun to watch, that's for sure.

Teams get screwed, teams get breaks. Bama is still a tough team to play; even the breaks can only get you so far. But you take the breaks when they come your way, and it's still up to the team to take advantage of those breaks, as Bama did. Enjoy the ride the rest of the season!

still a great game, you guys won fair and square. yes, the calls were absolutely horrible and very one-sided in your favor. However they didn't cost LSU this game alone. Congratulations. Ya'll played a heck of a game and your physical play that took out our key players really won the game for you. That's just good SEC football there.

With that said, why aren't we giving officials six figure salaries to be full time ref's for us? Seriously with the amount of money we are raking in? We have to protect the quality of the product we put on the field.

And why can't we put a bunch of camera's on all of the lines?

This is the main reason that conferences should not be allowed to employ their own officials, the NCAA should take care of that. This is a clear case that $$ trumps competition and sportsmanship in the SEC

Not quite. Screwed you were during the days before replay. You just lived with the call. What could you do? Phantom calls, bad calls, it was part of the game I guess. BUT now, the whole I refuse to make the right call per the slow-mo instant replay is where you get royally screwed and millions of people know it and think there is an obvious conspiracy of some kind.

You can't say that screwed LSU out of a win because you still would have had to score. If it had been run back for a TD and then called incomplete you'd have a case.

Of course it didn't screw LSU out of a WIN, and there sure wasn't any guarantee LSU could have scored a touchdown. But since the refs blew the call, LSU didn't even get a chance to try, and Bama didn't get a chance to negate the interception. I'll say Bama probably would have won anyway, but for a call like that to happen - WITH REPLAY - is ridiculous.

Actually the officials had a good game, I am calling that interception incomplete at full speed.... its the review booth that needs to be fined or suspended.... both feet in bounds and a catch is a catch in College, High School, NFL and pee-wee's. Just not in Tuscaloosa tonight......
