There was a date on the sign? Didn't see that in the original post. I'm also not agreeing with the law portion. I'm saying I'd the price is still on the shelf it should be honored.
yes. now, was the date as big as the rest of the text on the sign, obviously not. but it also wasn't fine print. Its no different than an expired sale paper that was left in a buggy. and it wasn't like it was a few days later. It was like 12pm, so it had only been expired about 4 hours since the store opened. Its one thing to question and even have a conversation and let them know they should be swifter at getting signs removed. But she was DEMANDING like a 5 year old throwing a temper tantrum that wanted a candy bar after his mom said no. And i made it clear i was laughing at her while she was doing it.

me too, but they make good sheep
I'd judge you for this comment, but then I'd be like you appear to be making such.

Just curious, did you decide on your own thru careful analysis that they are sheep or did you just hear it said, raise your pitchfork, and follow suit?

better a sheep than a lemming i guess, so he should be careful of the cliff...

It's probably less obvious since the PDB days where he would just post sheet like "why don't we just use poor people's blood as fuel to combat climate change? Which isn't real btw"
he must have multiple profiles on the MAP board..lol

I know what you're saying and I don't condone adults not being able to adult. I would probably be a little pissed though if I saw a sale sign and get to the register and find they were too lazy to take it down. No tantrum though....I'd just birch for an hour to my wife haha

I think its more that too many people have made themselves intolerable and don't like being call out about it. The Karens aren't millenails they are Gen Xers and Boomers.
I was at the Dollar General the other day and this woman was throwing a fit because there was a sign on the 8 pack bottled cokes, like 3 for $10. When they rang up regular price, she questioned it. The cashier told her that sale had ended yeasterday, thats when she went full Karen. IF THERE IS A SIGN, YOU HAVE TO SELL THEM TO ME FOR THAT PRICE, ITS THE LAW!!!! The lady tried to explain to her that she could not do that. even though there was a sign, it did have a date on it saying the ending date of the sale. She tried to tell the woman that the Coca Cola salesman hadn't been there yet to remove the signs. She must have went on for like 5 minutes about it. LET ME SPEAK TO THE MANAGER!!! mam, i am the asst manager (we all know DG never has more than 1 employee working at a time lol) and i am telling you i cannot over ride the price in the system.
Thats one reason people don't want to work those jobs. Back in the day if you had a Karen, a manager or another figure would come over and help handle the situation, but now days, they expect the cashier to handle them.

Walmart is the worst about this. They must pay inspectors off if they aren't getting blasted for it. When i go to Walmart, i scan just about everything using the APP to check the price. I would say out of 10 items, 2 or 3 are labled incorrect. I recently got the Walmart + subscription (they were running a $49/y special) and it has the scan as you go feature. They are just terrible with their price tags matching the actual price.
But I am not gonna throw a fit and DEMAND someone change the price. If its more than i want to pay, i just won't get it. I have left many things at the register at both Walmart and DG (among others) because the prices scan wrong. But i don't care enough to go through the hassle of arguing a price change, i'd just assume leave it, which is my version of the protest of the wrong price.
I fill out the surveys i am sent by email and i always complain about it, but i have never heard a peep from them.

Same....I used to just walk out of places and stop going to stores and restaurants that ticked me off. Then I realized I was running out of places to go so now I just know that's a fact of every day life.

Another thing a lot of stores do is "accidently" put stuff in the wrong spot wth like items, so its close enough so the tag looks right, but its the wrong brand or different size..
