The only show in phase 4 i have any interest in is Doctor Strange 2. Though the Eternals might be worth checking out.

The graphic novel is good. Definitely good movie material

From what I've read, the versions of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist from the Netflix shows are not coming back. Once their contractual obligations to Netflix expire, Marvel/Disney could decide to reboot the characters, but don't expect to see Charlie Cox, Kristen Ritter, Mike Colter or Finn Jones in those roles again.

Then again, according to this article, those rights start expiring this year, so maybe there's still time to get the original cast members. Just give Feige some oversight for these shows, because as good as the Netflix shows were, whoever was running them usually found a way to screw things up.

The article also mentions Punisher was negotiated differently, so apparently they could resurrect that show at any time.

, I read this morning that Netflix has come to some kind of agreement to release Daredevil immediately. This is starting to feed rumors of Daredevil showing up in Spiderman 3 that's supposed to start filming next month.

Definitely. I hope he gets more roles as DD in future movies/series. I'd really like the Defenders series to make a comeback, whether with Disney/Marvel or some other way. Netflix needs to move on this or release the Marvel rights they have.

I'm disappointed they're recasting Luke Cage. I thought Colter was perfect for that role. I see they're recasting Iron Fist, which I think is definitely warranted. The rest I feel fit their roles quite well, especially DD and Punisher.

I'd be ok with that. I liked JJ though. But, out of the 4 Defenders and Punisher, she's just behind IF in terms of who needs to be recast.

I liked Ritner a lot in breaking bad, she’s a good actress and I think she does an OK job with the disaffected attitude- and I do get that she’s supposed to be a very unathletic superpower, but my eyes just have not adjusted to that and her physical awkwardness + superpowers is still very distracting
Just give me Tatiana maslanay (sp?) and call it even

Tatiana would be great in that role. Nice choice.

I liked Ritner's awkwardness and social dysfunction. I was a lot like that earlier in my life, so I could relate a lot to feeling a bit like an outsider with nowhere to really belong. It's part of the attraction to JJ to begin with. I didn't think I'd like the show, but after watching the series a couple of times, it really grew on me.

Agree completely.on Ritner in BB. I hope to see her in other roles in the future.

Okay, minor rant. The article says Marvel will be casting an Asian American actor to play Danny Rand.
I'm upset that they're caving to stupid people. A lot of idiots who know NOTHING about the comic raised a ruckus that Iron Fist starred a WASP instead of an Asian. That's stupid because Danny Rand isn't Asian and never was. There are plenty of Asian characters in the MCU. I can see replacing Finn Jones, but much like Jessica Jones the real problem with the Iron Fist series was the script, not the actors. The second season was a MAJOR improvement over the first and I would have like to have seen the third season with where it appeared to be headed, but it was still a work in progress.

On Luke Cage, is this Colter's decision r Marvel's? I'm unclear from the article. I'm wondering if Colter is otherwise committed.

I mostly think they need to jettison the writers of Jessica Jones. Kristen is passable, but the scripts are what have been majorly flawed.

On the plus side, VERY happy to see Charlie Cox will be back as Murdoch. He is perfect. I hope to see them bring him as DD onto the big screen. The three DD series are easily the gems of the Netflix Marvel outings.

Also happy to see Punisher will return. Like Cox as Murdoch, Berenthal was perfect for the role.
