Semper's Stupendous to Infinity and Beyond Everything Marvel Movie/TV Thread (4 Viewers)

I've really lost enthusiasm for a lot of MCU stuff lately, but "Werewolf By Night" is such a great breath of fresh air. Just awesome fun. Hope they do a Halloween special every year.

It really was pretty good, nice change of pace.

That they were after Ford for the role has been going around for a few weeks; glad to hear they got it done. Looking forward to Thunderbolts and the emergence of Red Hulk (finally), as well as the Anthony Mackie Captain America film.
I saw a rumor that he'd be in the Cap 4 movie but NOT Thunderbolts which I don't understand but that's one rumor.

How did the infusion of vibranium lead to Wakanda's prosperity?

So there's a rare mineral exclusively under the ownership of this nation. Got it. This rare mineral has some very specific utility, mainly militarily. Got it. But here's the thing: they don't trade it. In fact they go nuts when some gets out and send shock troops to go recover any that gets out. So they're not increasing their prosperity via trade. As far as I can tell, they're not pillaging wealth from other nations using vibranium weaponry. There's no reason this material would inherently imbue them with better scientists or infrastructure than anyone else. And frankly, I don't really see how it would increase their defensive capabilities. They still fight hand to hand when invaded. They don't use air support or any sort of advanced battlefield tactics (other than their big shield, which doesn't appear to be made of vabranium).

IDK. I don't see how they parlayed this rare, valuable mineral into prosperity.

it's not the mineral, it's that they weren't colonized
