Semper's Stupendous to Infinity and Beyond Everything Marvel Movie/TV Thread (3 Viewers)

Finally watched Ms Marvel and I thought it was really good and well put together. Seemed way more cohesive than some of the other Disney+ shows. I'd say it was my second favorite Disney+ series behind Loki.

I felt really bad for her Dad when she turned down dressing with him as Hulk.

She could have had him go but asked to wear her own costume. I know that wouldn't have moved the plot like it did but most people didn't like that moment from the show.

While the logical thing to do would have been to show them her costume (since it wasn't anything like the "skimpy, tight fitting" inappropriate outfit they were imagining) and offer to go with Dad dressed as the Hulk, I thought it was more realistic that she overreacted and spoke out of emotion rather than thinking it through - because teenage girls are like that. I found it a very real moment. Doing the logical, right thing would have been too Cosby-esque 80s sitcom (instant solve).

I'm just relieved that Disney is reviving the Netflix characters for this series. I like that they're embracing the Netflix versions and I'm hoping they retain the look and feel and grittiness of the Netflix series. They need to keep their MA ratings, not for it's own sake, but more for this is what they're supposed to be.

I don't mind softening the edges a bit for a crossover show involving other MCU shows, but not for the Defenders group of shows.

Interesting...seems official.

Karen Page will be back too...yes!

So...no Danny Rand?

Is this a reliable source? That Twitter handle doesn't look promising.

I've been digging a bit and I'm not finding anything official. Just a lot of smoke around Feige's announcement of the Daredevil: Born Again series which is expected to be out in 2024. I suppose a lot can happen between now and production starts. There are rumors that Rosario Dawson reprising her role as well. Make it happen Disney!

These aren't new rumors except maybe for Karen Page. I've seen the others months ago at one point or another. Well them showing up in Daredevil is new too.

DanielRPK (the source breaking the news that they're reporting) has a very, very spotty track record as an insider. He has traditionally been pretty good about marketing news (announcing trailer drop dates way in advance and what will be in the trailer) but his actual scoops on the shows themselves tend to be way less accurate. This has led people to believe he works in some capacity with trailers/commercials but doesn't have access to anything beyond that.

It's basically been all but confirmed that Cage, Jones, and Punisher will be returning in some capacity by others, but I don't think anyone is reporting they're ALL going to be in Born Again. Maybe have his wires crossed or may be making things up again (he has been accused of doing this when his news gets slow.) And if the trailer thing people believe about him is accurate, this show is nowhere near having any marketing materials so he wouldn't have access to anything.

On a source tier list I'd describe him as "Right enough about some things not to completely ignore, wrong enough about other things that you should take it with a massive grain of salt."
