Semper's Stupendous to Infinity and Beyond Everything Marvel Movie/TV Thread (6 Viewers)

I know some did enjoy it, but it seems as if it wasn't the best received movie, so I figured that they might just kind of leave it alone. Perhaps they can turn it around and salvage things. I guess they can't all be Infinity War / Endgame level stuff, though.
It gets extra points for playing Time by Pink Floyd. The celestial stuff was awesome too. We also got the Blade voice cameo and I know some on here adore Gemma Chan and I love Salma Hayek, she was fine.

Gemma Chan and Salma Hayek together are worth the price of admission. I didn't know Jack (pun intended) about the Eternals, but I did enjoy the movie. I don't understand all the hate.

Same. I like the movie. It had some flaws, but it was a fun flick. I enjoyed learning a little about each of the characters as well.

Look... Y'all make up your minds. Do I watch it or not?

It was just a bloated mess with weak and uninteresting characters. Not like an all time awful movie or anything, but definetly forgettable.

I didn't think the characters were weak. I did think they didn't have enough time to delve into them more.

Of course, I'm a bit biased because I loved seeing Makkari (deaf actor) in there. She was cool. I do agree it was bloated in a sense because too many characters and not enough time to get to know them well. I think an Eternals series would have served that group better than a movie.

Right up to this moment

I enjoyed the movie. I know the MCU is all fantasy stuff, but I cannot suspend my belief enough to believe that a giant Celestial can be born from the Earth's core and nothing was effected by that action.

I’m realizing that I watched the movie (51% liked) but I can hardly remember anything about the characters - like I think of the actors more than the characters

That's its biggest problem. Aside from like Druig and Makkari, they're the most nothing bunch of characters Marvel has put to film. And for what is supposed to be this epic millennia spanning romance between Sersi and Ikaris, Gemma Chan and Richard Madden have about as much chemistry as helium.

Cuz it's chemically inert. Get it. Periodic table humor.

It went over my head like a Led Zeppelin.
