Yesterday evening I spent 2.5 hours stuck in an elevator (somewhere between the ground floor and the 60th floor) in Chase Tower (here in downtown Houston).

Let me just tell you, never pass up an opportunity to use the bathroom.

Who knew we'd have wall to wall severe weather coverage tonight?

Certainly not an outbreak by any means but tops at 40k and baseball hail to the west.

Not too concerned at this point for our immediate area.

Haven't seen any damage reports yet. They are still chasing a tornado warned storm into the Metro. Same storm.

From map, that's not too far west of OKC right?

Is that the one north of Union City?

Edit...yeah that's it. Looks to be only miles from western OKC. Dang.

Oh man, yeah, that's a PDS tornado.

That is correct. 14 miles SW of me. New inflow notch developing as the tornado continues.

Oddly enough the warning has not been extended yet,

Just read that original tornado was slowing down, but new rotations are popping.

Be safe. It's one thing during day, (you can see it and get a sense of direction etc ) a whole different animal at night.
