It’s always better to throw at a pro day. At the combine you are throwing to WRs you have no history with. You don’t dictate what kind of throws you want to display. At a Pro Day, the QB dictates all of that stuff and picks his own WRs. I’m not saying that I think the combine is all crap bc it’s not. I’m just saying that a player stands to benefit more at his own Pro DayThere isn’t anything that says they have to participate in everything to be there. In some cases the combine benefits the player and other times it benefits the teams. There is no benefit to him to do the drills as a top 5 prospect. If teams don’t want to talk to him they don’t have to.
Besides, a huge part of this whole thing is to drive TV ratings.
