Assuming we move on from Derek, is Rattler your guy next year? On Twitter, there appears to be mixed reviews of him.

Would you draft a QB this year or go for one in FA (if Carr isn't back)?
We can bench himfor the one hundred millionth time, because of the salary cap, we can NOT move on from Carr this season.
Let's stop already.
wasn't an option in the OP, and Carr has absolutely outplayed Rattler. We can bench him
But you can stick his booty on the bench and start with your future QB like Atlanta did with Cousins. May not be look good for the accounting books but it's time to move on from him. Carr is great if you're into fantasy football and need good stats.for the one hundred millionth time, because of the salary cap, we can NOT move on from Carr this season.

They would have to carry his full cap hit until June, which would be almost impossible. We can in fact move on if we need to from Carr at the very least he could be a post June 1st cut
I don't believe anyone who actually plays fantasy football considers Derek Carr a viable starter. But you can stick his booty on the bench and start with your future QB like Atlanta did with Cousins. Yeah Atlanta caught a lot of heat for doing that but it's evident that they have their future QB. Has Rattler shown enough to be the future? I don't know but personally I can say that he has potential. But you can stick his booty on the bench and start with your future QB like Atlanta did with Cousins.
