Assuming we move on from Derek, is Rattler your guy next year? On Twitter, there appears to be mixed reviews of him.

Rattler may very well be the QB in 2026, but barring injury, it will not be next year. Also, while he has lots of potential, he still has a lot of growth that's needed before he is ready to be a starter.

This doesn't need to be a new thread every 3 days.

Counts only $59 against the cap, so, barely fits the budget.

for the one hundred millionth time, because of the salary cap, we can NOT move on from Carr this season.

Let's stop already.
But you can stick his booty on the bench and start with your future QB like Atlanta did with Cousins. May not be look good for the accounting books but it's time to move on from him. Carr is great if you're into fantasy football and need good stats.

I don't believe anyone who actually plays fantasy football considers Derek Carr a viable starter.

Yeah Atlanta caught a lot of heat for doing that but it's evident that they have their future QB. Has Rattler shown enough to be the future? I don't know but personally I can say that he has potential.

Rattler has shown he has some arm talent, but honestly not much else, so no, I wouldn’t feel comfortable giving him the reins going into next season.

Granted, he didn’t get to play with much of a supporting cast, or even with a real head coach, but you can’t go into a season with that unproven of a quarterback.
