SICK Reggie Bush Videos (this will get you pumped)

Oh yeah baby, can't wait for that 3.5 YPC!
Look man, I know people go 'OMGZ 3.5 YPC thats like turrible' but that is an overreaction IMO. Sure it is bad compared to others in the league but I look at it this way.

First down is 10 yards. On average Reggie gets you 3.5 yards per carry. That means on average give him 3 carries and that's a first down. I have no problem with that whatsoever. Couple that with the fact that the backs who are getting you on average 1.5 more yards every 10, which isn't all that much, are nowhere near the receiving and returning threat that Reggie is.

0.5 yards extra on a carry do not win you football games. Points do. And, before his injury, Reggie led the league in TDs.

I agree Reggie is a substantial touchdown threat, but let's not attempt to justify his meager YPC average.

with all the Reggie vids out there, this is the best!

He had 3.8 last year..106 carries, 404 yards..how horrible..like 2 yards away from being 4.0.

maybe they like the videos of 4 yards up the gut..4 yards up the gut..10 yards up the gut.. 2 yard TD run up the gut..1 yard TD run up the gut. that gets me so hype..hah!

these videos never get old..keep em coming!

my favorite..

REGGIE!!! REGGIE!!! REGGIE!!!

I for one have been happy to have him on our team. He's still got room to improve, but I think he will.

As far as bust... I had seen someone talking about Reggie somewhere before -- may have been here -- but, since when does a "bust" make the weekly highlights so often?

I know that I'd like to see him in New Orleans his whole career...

YPC is more indicative of the impact an indivdual runner has on a game than the amount of TD's he scores in.short yardage situations (which Reggie primarily does ten yards and in).

What would you say is more impactful:

A RB rushing for 46 yards on 7 attempts on a drive, setting up his team on the five yard line, or a RB plowing it in on his only carry of the drive for a 3 yard TD?

You can say all you want, but Reggie makes our offense exponentially dynamic when he is on the field. He IS a playmaker and does a lot more than people realize.

Every defense we play keys on him when he motions or moves on a play. There is a reason for that.

So I guess YPC is a more meaningful stat in terms of team sucess than points scored...
I never could understand this. Stats are flashy and all, but it ocmes down to scoring, and bush scores points like nobody's business. Thats what a RB should do anyway. I dont care HOW he does it, he gets it done.

Statistics are pretty important in judging a player's value.

And why are we so quick to discount perhaps the single most indicative measure of a RB, that is YPC, and yet completely allow TD's, despite the fact that Reggie does score the majority of his points within the red zone?

I love watching Reggie Bush play.

He is, at times, an electrifying playmaker.

He simply doesn't do it enough (although, in terms of our offense, he doesn't have to).

Go Saints!

thats simply not true. I did the math the other day and it was a first down every 5.3 carries.

Did you look at total # of 1st downs gained by reggie / number of carries?

Because YPC is an average of how many YARDS someone gets PER CARRY.

So "on average", if you give him 3 carries, he will get 10.5 yards, and a 1st. Not sure how youre saying this is incorrect? This is an AVERAGE, not a predictor of how many 1st downs he statistically has.

If stats mattered that much, Aaron Brooks would be a first ballot member in the Saints Hall-of-Fame.

Why do people always have to narrow it down to yards per carry. You know very well he is a great receiving threat. Stop trying to lump him in with pure runners.
