With half the season down, here are my predictions for the rest (I have not read the source material and never read spoilers/theories for shows:

Juliet is sick from a wound she suffered falling down the chute in 18, likely some sort of radiation poising got in there because the tape was coming off on her suit near her entry into 17. Solo will bring her into the vault to give her medical attention and she will learn many applicable secrets about the Silos. Solo will refuse to give her back her helmet until she agrees to fix his water problem. They'll pump the water out and decide to go back thru the low point access tunnel--likely around ep 9 maybe 10.
She'll return to basically an all out revolution in progress. Lots of collateral damage and deaths. I think Knox is wiser than he lets on and has figured out that Judicial and esp IT run on their own power supply--he gave Shirley a wink/cue when they were walking thru. He's also made it a point to say how everyone thinks their job is the most important in the Silo and he's comes to grips with the fact that mechanical isn't that critical and is mostly used as a blame device throughout Silo history.
I still have no idea on actual time frames and if the ones they cited are remotely accurate. The memory drug makes almost anything possible...
Juliet saves the day and leads the down deep and mids back to 17 to rebuild, setting up an eventual war with the remnants of Bernard's power structure (he'll hold Juliet's dad hostage) and whomever the true leader(s) ends up being--if they emerge this soon. We might even get some sort of communique from another Silo leader to 17?

Story wise I’m not sure what is gained by showing all out civil war
There aren’t any ‘not mechanicals’ characters that would make that fight good drama
It’s mechanicals vs the puppeteers
More than likely Juliet comes back to main Silo right before war breaks out
Setting up a myth/propaganda vs truth showdown for s3

I don't disagree, but everything feels like it's pointing to that direction--mirroring what happened in 17. We know from the season trailer they are launching that device that carries all the "Juliette lives" papers and Judicial is hyping up the masses above to get vigilante justice.
I feel like a lot more twists are coming...
Guess we find out a little more tonight!

I thought it was another really strong episode, pacing was better and it helps to have the more contained stories sticking to a single Silo. It was a bit of a posturing episode, but they've set in motion some big stuff and the reveals should come at a strong pace in the final 4.

Tim Robbins continues his acting master class, Bernard had some interesting moments in this one and has now been dealt several blows. "Phuck I lost the Sheriff" was hilarious.
Power moves by Knox and Shirley, though another one by the writers where you have to suspend your reasoning when they cut up thru the concrete and 1 dude just flips it over...
Lukas gets the promo I thought had to be coming, they basically spoiled that in the trailer
The message has already been decoded by the internet...(who is Allie?)
Really hope 'the legacy' reveal will be cool ( I am thinking a futuristic AI??)
Sims' wife continues to be interesting and there has to be something to her 4D chess moves, I wouldn't be surprised if she has some sort of ties to the original 'Flame Keepers'?
Sheriff Billings continues to stay true to the character but is also figuring things out, the syndrome condition has taken a turn and hopefully sets up reveals? Getting the doc down was smart. Patrick Kennedy character has also been refreshing and sort of fun. The drug might be BS??
Solo did exactly what I thought he would...

i don't think we need to spoiler tag previews/predictions
I think we'll get a decent amount of 17, but it's one of maybe 5 plotlines so I imagine they'll keep some attention paid to most of those, esp since there was a decent dynamic shift in at least 2 (new shadow and level 120-130 detente) - don't see why they'd shelve those to focus on a two-hander

Yeah, that's a good point about 2 big new stories that have been developed/accelerated. I was just sort of guessing that after last week's mostly 18 centric affair, they might be doing a direct pivot back? The Lukas new IT shadow story might be the most exciting thing going RN? Getting to see (hopefully) 'the legacy' thru him should be very interesting.

I think you're right about 17 having the weight of the episode but I don't think that has to translate to time spent (ie Juliette & Solo's scenes will be short but impactful)
Lukas's plot is probably closest to the big secret of the silos and they'll want to milk that plenty
