Site developement progress and some FAQ stuff (7 Viewers)

Hey Andrus - didn't see this addressed anywhere and didn't want to start a new thread, but I am getting a "403 Forbidden" message when trying to view this website on my home tablet device, the Amazon Kindle ("Silk" browser, using my home wi-fi network). This started yesterday afternoon sometime I believe and has persisted into this morning. I have two different types of Kindles, and it is happening on both, so it seems to be unique to that browser-type.

It works fine on the home desktop I am using to make this post and also works fine on my I-phone, both on my home network and on the LTE network.

I should also add that I have already tried all of the normal cliche’ I.T. department troubleshooting options - re-booted, cleared history, cleared cookies, re-booted modem, re-booted router.

Sorry about that. Should work now. I had found of some1800 "bad bots" to block and placed it in the site's .htaccess file. I just removed that list until I can go through it as obviously it is overly aggressive.

I like the PBD opt out. I would see things on that board that would get me so riled up I would get in trouble. Now I don't have to worry about looking at it. The OPT out is good for me at least because it will keep me out of trouble.

That was the idea behind it. After all, we are all here because we are Saints Fans, right? If one of controversial boards is a source of irritation that may be ruining your experience here, then simply opt out and you won't see any evidence of it when you log in.

If anyone is wondering what we are talking about. Yesterday I added an opt out button within three boards. The Locker Room, BTL and PDB. If a user chooses to hide one of these optional forums, that user won't see it in forum lists, in New Posts, or searches, etc.

BTW - If you want to opt back in, go into your account details (Your avatar icon on the top right under the header) click on it, then click on "preferences" and in the left column click on the "Optional Forums" link, and choose the forum that you want to opt back into. or go to https://saintsreport.com/account/optional-forums
