Six percent of people think they can beat a grizzly bear (3 Viewers)

when this game up, I was reading a couple articles about it . I read one about a guy who had a guide with him. he took a shot at the grizzly and it charged them very quickly. he said the professional guide took 15 shots and the grizzly kept coming. it wasn't until he he got a throat shot that took down the grizzly. this bear withstood 15 rounds into him and still charged, uphill full speed.
I read another article that said black and brown bears were killed easily with hand guns.
I haven't done much research, but it seems grizzlies are a much different breed than other bears.

Daniel Boone killed one with a knife.....

I’ll go with the experts opinions every time….sorry….your chances of getting off a single shot much less a single shot that will disable the bear are barely less than zero….you typically won’t get off a 2nd one…..
Hell if you are close enough for a pistol, you could miracously get every round off with a center mass strike... and the bear is still likely to maul you you. It may die on top of you... but I dont really want to die bleeding out under a half ton of smelly bear.

What's the percentage for a bison? Like the 'rule of thumb' advice
=========================

A hiker is taking to TikTok to warn about the dangers of invading a bison's personal space after she was attacked by one of the creatures last week as she hiked alone at Caprock Canyons State Park and Trailway—the home of the Texas State Bison Herd. Rebecca Clark posted a clip of the moments leading up to the attack showing a handful of bison grazing a few feet away from the trail she was following.........

In a follow-up video, Clark explained that the bison rammed her back, gored her and threw her into a mesquite bush where she laid for 50 minutes until help arrived, adding that because of limited phone service she had no access to 911 and instead got messages to her family and friends.

She was flown by helicopter to United Regional Healthcare Hospital in Wichita Falls. Despite a hole in her back and lots of stickers and thorns, Clark wrote that she is okay and is on the road to recovery. She's also started a TikTok Creator Fund to help cover medical bills.

As the largest land animal in North America, bison require a lot of space between them and people—at least 50 yards— to feel comfortable, according to Texas Parks and Wildlife. The agency advises hikers to use the "Rule of Thumb" to ensure there's enough distance between them and the formidable creatures.

"Stretch your arm out away from your face and give bison a thumbs up!" the agency states on its site. "Now close one eye. Can you cover the bison with your thumb? If not, you're too close!"...........

What if you have tiny thumbs? Or worse, what if they are exceptionally large?!

Grizzly bears are incredibly quick/fast over short distances, they can get to 35mph in no time, if you are that close you likely won’t get a shot off….
