My son and I were geeking. It was pretty cool.

We're planning on watching all the episodes leading up to Christmas. Yes, even the fist 3. Just so that he can get the feel of the universe.

It's really neat to see him get excited about it.
My 6 year old daughter is totally into Star Wars now -- we have watched the original 6 (in 4-5-6-1-2-3 order) and after watching 3 two days ago she said "let's buy the new one and watch it tomorrow!!" She doesn't get the whole movie release schedule thing yet. :)

She's doing Halloween as a stormtrooper and making her mom be one, too. I'm gonna be Darth Vader.

They got the order wrong!!

4-5-6-1-2-3! And heck 1 is even optional.

I actually think the optimal order is 4-5-1-2-3-6. IF you're dead-set on including the prequels. Even better if the scene of the birth of Luke and Leia is cut off after they say "there's another one" or whatever was said.

In this way, we get started in the Universe with a mysterious backstory, learn who Luke's father is in the original reveal, then get a retro-spective in the natural break between ESB and ROTJ to get to know Anakin and his "struggles" :)rolleyes:) and his fall before seeing his redemption in ROTJ and learning who Luke's twin is.

That said, my kids have seen them in the following order: 4, 5, 6. These were Harmy's Despecialized versions so they're pure.

My wife is forcing me to show them 1, 2, 3 though. Will be hard since we don't own any of them ;) I was going to try to slip the Phantom Edit by her, but she got wind of it and shut me down :angryrazz:

My favorite recent Marci gras costume was me dressed as luke and my son as yoda slung on my back like the training session on dagobah

The correct order is actually... 1-2-3

That's it.
