PITTSBURGH - The Steelers took an early lead, gave it away and got it back in a 38-31 win over the New Orleans Saints Sunday at Heinz Field.
Willie Parker became coach Bill Cowher's first 200-yard rusher with 213 yards on 22 carries, but the difference between this and other Steelers game this season was the zero in the turnover category.
After suffering 24 turnovers in their first eight games, the Steelers managed to get through a game without giving the ball away.
"It's a credit to those players in there," coach Bill Cowher said. "What a resilient group of guys. This was one of those statistical games that we usually don't win, but we battled through it and won it. We went through a game for the first time this all year with no turnovers."
