It's time to get Back To Football as the NFL begins its 91st season with a celebration in its special pregame show, "NFL Opening Kickoff 2010 Presented by EA Sports" -- 7:30 p.m. ET Thursday, Sept. 9. Dave Matthews Band and Taylor Swift are scheduled to perform.

There will be simulcast coverage of the 60-minute pregame show which will air from 7:30-8:30 p.m. ET on NBC and NFL Network. The live pregame broadcast will also be available via NFL Mobile only from Verizon.

Makes sense. There's not much local musical talent in New Orleans.

Lol!

I would like for the Ying Yang twins to perform inside the Dome before the game. I think that would really help set the tone. Not that the dropping of the banner wouldn't get us pumped up, but that song makes everybody go nuts!!!

i'll give you guys a hint.......when taylor swift sings.....turn it down and admire the silent beauty

I could care less. I am going to see the Saints beat the living **** out of the Vikings.

To Mr. Thumbs Down:

I understand why they included Taylor Swift. The NFL is always trying to broaden their fanbase and she's a family-friendly megaselling pop star. Still I could also understand the big thumbs-down for her since she appeals mostly to young girls. But Dave Matthews Band is one of the best bands around today and have been for quite some time. Their musicianship is off the charts and they put on an amazing show.

Plus, they are a band with nationwide appeal who just so happens to LOVE New Orleans. While I'm not a huge fan of their music (I do like some songs), I love seeing them play live because their improvisational skills are so impressive. They will put on a great show for however much time they are allotted to play.
