NEW ORLEANS — If you slept in Sunday morning you missed plenty of breaking news on the New Orleans Saints.
First, Charles Robinson with Yahoo Sports reported free agent quarterback Jameis Winston is close to finalizing a deal to join the black & gold.
Second, ESPN's Adam Schefter says Taysom Hill has agreed to a new two-year contract to remain in New Orleans.
The youngest Heisman Trophy winner ever, Winston was the first overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft. After five seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he was not re-signed when his contract expired in March. The Bucs added six-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady to take over at quarterback. ...
