Taysom Hill vs Christian McCaffrey athleticism (1 Viewer)

he is ripped or what? Freakin wow!

And Bobad - I took your remark about he's a better passer as humor. I got a good laugh because if he is the replacement for Brees, he better be able to throw better than an RB and throw well

I think the team needs to hire his trainer.

I can picture Payton calling an end around to Hill who pulls up and throws it back to a wide open Brees in the end zone.

Brees would have to be in the shotgun for that play to be legal. QB under centre is not allowed to be the first to touch a forward pass.

The player who Hill should be used like is former Dolphin Jim Jensen. Jensen was a College QB, who dolphins used a Jack of all trade, he could line up at WR, TE, H-Back, Fullback, slot back and Halfback. For a couple of seasons he was the Dolphins only back in there 3rd down, 2 minute offence.

I could see SP sneaking a play to Hill in somewhere in the wildcard round. At this point though, if Hill had hands, he'd have already seen some snaps at TE. But don't count that out on a play here and there once it becomes "win or go home".

I do think having a zone read package with hill and our RBs would be beneficial. If don't prepare for it can eat you up for some big plays.

Y'all need to stop hyping this kid up like he's some hidden offensive player....

Why? Every time he's been put on the field in whatever capacity he's been asked, he's produced. Is it really so far of a stretch to think that someone with the offensive prowess of Payton would take advantage of using the kid in whatever spot he can help the team?

Obviously, he's got the athleticism and showed in college that he can make things happen with the ball in his hands. No one is suggesting that we make him the starting QB, just draw up a few plays here and there that could be used in certain situations.

As one poster mentioned, they lined him up in the slot for 1 play in the ATL game. Could be foreshadowing or it could be Sean just screwing with opposing DC minds in an attempt to get them to broaden their focus during game prep.

It did confuse the hell out of the Falcons when they put him in for that play.

The look on Payton's (& AK41's) face after Taysom Hill made a play should tell you that there are DEFINITELY some snaps coming in this kids future.
