Past few episodes feel like virtue signaling. It’s like i’m watching saved by the bell. Sad such a good show going to waste

It’s a show focused on kindness, and it always has been. All three seasons have been human beings treating other people as if they are also human beings. The only thing that changed recently was they brought Colin’s story into the mix.

I do think they are neatly wrapping everything up to end after the third season on a good note.

Exactly

They are even giving the "villains" some redemption with Rupert showing a little "growth" by having him get an assistant that's not for him to objectify and harass, turning down the Akufo league and him being the one rejected by Nathan. I always figured Nate would end up back at Richmond taking over after Ted leaves, just figured it was going to happen in the last episode after being fired from West Ham for losing to Richmond and finishing second. Never thought he would tell Rupert to piss off and leave on his own before the season even ended. It was nice finally seeing his dad admit he screwed up. The Rebecca monologue about loving football was great. Jamies gift to Roy for uncle's day was amazing. Roy apologizing to Keely. Just an all around feel good episode. I'm gonna be sad when this show is gone. Can't believe we only have two episodes left of this, Succession and Barry. What the hell am I gonna watch once May ends!?!?!?

You got me a couple of weeks ago when I clicked your spoiler in the wee hours of a Wednesday.

Do you have an alarm set for the second the show airs? Are you on the east coast? 😄

I think Apple drops them at midnight UTC based on when the episodes pop up

I forgot to mention my favorite part of this episode
Dani Rojas turning into a complete psycho once he switches over to national team time. Poor Van Damme 😂😂

I get it. No, the only thing changed recently wasn’t just Colin’s story. You have Keeley’s story, you have the owner sleeping with Obisanya and hiding it, obisanya’s restaurant getting trashed, ted taking in the buttocks and still smiling about it. It’s like sending a signal that you’re going to get screwed in life but just take it.

I’m all for the golden rule but this show has gone a little too far into trying to be manipulative

I love Keely, but I gotta say I’d go for the teacher.

My favorite exchange was Jade’s offer to have Nate join her in Poland to change light bulbs. Then burns him with the “why’s that funny?” comeback. Love her.

Kicking the Russian out of the Akufo meeting was nice shot.

I’d wear the sheet out of that ROY tie-die shirt.

I love this show, just the different relationship dynamics built up over the years has been great. If this is virture signaling sign me up for more of it -- it's trying to preach the transformative power of kindness. Ted is a different kind of hero b/c he isn't fighting in the traditional since, but he is waging a war and fighting it his way. Is it idealistic - absolutely, but I'm all for some more idealism right now.

I'm going to miss this show when it's done, but I'm glad they're wrapping it up. The character arcs are starting to feel complete and just dragging it on will make it lose it's charm for me.

I still think my favorite moment in the whole series was from last season when the whole team got to see how terrible Jamie's dad is, and then Roy goes into give Jamie a hug, you can see Jamie's initial defensiveness and then surrender and it was beautiful. I love that relationship.

All.Of.This.

Wife and I weren’t sure how many episodes were in this season. Wondered if this past episode was the conclusion. Subtly ending with Rebecca returning the tea spray at Ted. And a lot of story arcs are played out to near completion.

Yeah, I think the only arc that hasn't been played out is Ted's. Rebecca, Roy, Nate, Keeley, Jamie have all more or less had their issues resolved. They can probably do some more stuff with Sam, but not from a character development standpoint - he's always been a pretty complete guy, maybe let him know that he can stand up for himself a little more, I guess.

At the beginning of the season Ted asked Beard why they were still there, so they'll answer that more explicitly I think. I suspect Ted is going to make peace with his divorce and go back to be with his kid as a dad.

Oh no, it wasn't just the gay story I didn't like. You have the lesbian thing, the interracial thing...

And before you go all, "whoa whoa whoa" on me, these are literally the first 3 things you named.

Like most, I'm really going to miss this show. Really enjoyed watching Nate's growth over this season. I agree with pretty much everything said so far. Anyone else get the sense that of all the characters Coach Beard, though a major character, has had the least amount of change, but it's because he's always known who he was. Hard to pick a favorite character on this show, but he's up there despite his arc being pretty close to the same as the first time we met him. That's pretty incredible from a writing standpoint. Really going to miss this show.

I think the message it is sending is that the high road leads to the top.

Maybe you don't agree with that, but it is still a good message that we need to see more of in media.
