Ted Lasso (1 Viewer)

Ok so I’m not the only one reacting to the Richmond games like Saints games, right?

That chat with Beard and Nate, wowza. I stole a loaf of meth. Nate’s suddenly invisible girlfriend may be the best thign that ever happened to him
Then Ted being just straight up with his mom like that. I reckon the “something to tell you” to Rebecca was he’s gone at the end of the season.
I was going to have to look up the women, so thanks Caliente for that reminder

So much awesome again in this episode:
Ted finally tells his Mom what's what.
Jamie's personal growth, his Mom saying how she bawled when he went into the England game and her rooting for him during the Man United game was so damn good.
Van Damme going full 2014 WC Tim Howard in the game was great.
Beard forgiving Nate in the way that he did was so well done. Jade is like a Jedi lol.
When Ted tells Rebecca that he has to tell her something at the end, is it that he quits? I sense that after how he broke down over his son.
Ted's WiFi Password was hysterical, as were Jamie's Roy Kent/Keeley posters.

Only one more episode, reality is gonna suck w/o Ted Lasso (unless a spin off is in the works), fingers crossed...

I can’t recall if it was Pardon my take, or the Dan Patrick show, but Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard) said that at the time this was the end of the series, however they have talked about spin-offs.

I can’t imagine “Ted Lasso” without Ted Lasso. While the other characters are rich and well built, he really is the character that makes that show so good. I guess we shall see what’s next in 7 days.

I mean, they have lightning in a bottle. The thought that they would just let it die would be insane.

I agree I would like more but they seem to be wrapping up everything pretty well these last few episodes. I'd hate to see them try and stretch it out and ruin what's setting up to be a perfect neat and tidy ending to the series.

A lot of critics have been pretty rough on this season and I've seen the "It's too saccharine now" sentiment popping up a lot from others. Yall seem to still be pretty effusive in your praise of it but I can't say that matches what I'm seeing elsewhere. May be best to quit before general sentiment goes any further south.

Thank you for relaying what the critics have stated, I wouldn't have known otherwise. But **** them for taking the usual critic stance of crapping on anything people have enjoyed simply because people have enjoyed it for too long. The show is as good as it ever was, in my opinion, even more so as the surrounding characters now have more dimensions.

Probably easy for the show to be classified as “woke” because it’s inclusive and people aren’t crapping on each other all the time. If there’s no “bad guy” it must be trying too hard to make all groups feel welcome and happy.

But there is a bad guy even if his heart grew three sizes.

Nobody said anything about it being woke. The sentiment seems to be the show has leaned too far into the schmaltz this season and that it's kind of wearing thin.

I love the show, but I also understand the criticism. Some stuff seemed to meander a bit and some things seemed to just happen. I feel like it could have used one more season to really make all the pieces work. It also seems to be trying to be inclusive vs. letting it flow naturally at times. While that doesn't bother me it can be jarring at times.

Still, it's hilarious, the characters are great, they do a good job of making you care about every single one of them, and there isn't one character journey I don't like, even Rupert.
