Ted Lasso (1 Viewer)

Some insight by Nick Mohammed, the actor who plays Nate on his transformation from insecure wet blanket to backstabbing heel... looks like I was right in noticing his hair color change as well...

something I realized when reading this is both Nate and Keely have been given the same “break” into the soccer world and how each of them reacted in the complete opposite ways with their shot and how both of them handled how they left when it was time for them both to make their next step.

thanks for the text inclusion - he mentions it, but i think a lot of us are overlooking Nate's self-hate - the mirror spitting and the interactions with his dad should stay present in our brains but i think they get overshadowed by the nasty/inappropriate things he does
sure part of the Roy Keely kiss thing was that he wanted to be considered competition BUT at the very same time he felt he should be punished bc he knew he was not - he is both the ego and the shame simultaneously
he will learn a lesson next season - that's just the way the show is structured - but it won't be the lesson that we expect/want bc the writers are very good and exploiting this narrative form

Yay. I get to finally read the spoilers. I had to wait to watch the episode with El Caliente’s wife.
So it was you rubbing the back of my neck during the show.

damnit Nate! You hurt all of us.

Yankee and the Brave is so far and away RtJ’s best song.

Did anyone else notice how much it looked like Nate aged by the end of the episode w/ the progressively graying hair? It kind of reminded me of Anakin's gradual transformation into Vader. Next season is going to be interesting to say the least with regards to the 2 teams playing each other. Nate is probably already scheming up plays and formations.

it was deliberate
edit: I see it was already mention in post 105

After episode 3 I remarked that, "Either Lasso is barking mad or a total genius."

Oklahoma!
We went dressed as Lasso and Beard for Halloween (my wife and I). It was a great time as so many people would bark out random Lasso quotes.

I've cycled through it three times - with my wife, with a co-worker during lunches and with my daughter & SIL over Thanksgiving week. It lives up to the hype because it is simply that good. Good humor, story lines, character development, cast and some good life messages.

The writing is outstanding.

Beard may be my spirit animal.
