tell me something good (26 Viewers)

Something good??

Shreveport has a new Arena football team called the Rouxgaroux. We won our first game last night against the Dallas Falcons in dominating fashion.
falcons are pretty cool birds
they don't deserve the association with 2 of the worst cities on the planet

I made a big batch of my (almost) world famous cinnamon rolls yesterday afternoon and then drove around town to hand them out to several friends to enjoy while they were still warm. It felt great to do something nice and unexpected for them. I’m still getting texts of appreciation for doing something that made me feel pretty good anyway. Hopefully I can do more to make people happy in the future.

I totally get it Bill. I make homemade fudge at Christmas and distribute it to all of my friends, family, and clients. It started out as something smallish and now has snow-balled into 250+ lbs of fudge every year and over $1500 investment. What started out as $2/bag gift is now more of a $5/bag gift, but the smiles when the fudge fairy shows up are worth every penny.

fudge fairy
Also the Tomato fairy when the greenhouses are pumping out tomatoes... I am man enough to embrace the Fairy title. I just enjoy giving small relatively insignificant gifts that brighten someone's day. That smile on your face when you laughed at me calling myself the fudge fairy was exactly what I was hoping would happen. Boom-Day brightened.

More happiness in giving than in receiving. :9:

I shared my birthday ice cream cake with my coworkers. I'm cool like that

Nah, not really. There's an element of self preservation here. If I'd taken it home I'd have eaten every bit this weekend. :hihi:

A coworker retired last year. I brought in two dozen donuts for his four person crew. They worked a twelve-hour shift and he didn't share any with them. He took them home.
