when i lived in BR, my wife and Mother in law worked in Harahan, sometimes they would stop at KFC to pick up dinner every now and then. way too many times they would be told they were out of chicken for the day. this was at like 6pm, there hourd were until 10pm. i would assume they weren't out of chicken, they just didn't feel like cooking anymore.. smh..

Popeyes did that here before most of them went out of business

Agreed. I usually get Church's more than Popeye's these days because the one by always has lines around the building.

I keep trying some of the new local places (Gus's, Highway) to see if they can overtake Popeye's--not happening. Agree that not all Popeye's are created equal, but the one off Airline & Clearview I find to be consistenly good. Church's--meh. KFC--no way. Lil Dizzy's is really good

Only if you don't know how to properly cook chicken. I too tend to lean towards dark meat, but if cooked properly there is no difference in juiciness or taste. Just that it's easier to dry out the white meat.

There's always a difference. Dark meat is higher in fat which equals more flavor and more juice. I've ate my share of white meat and have had some that is better than others but dark is always better.
