The bad 2 minute defense (again) aside, this game was special for this team. Usually, when we face #1 defenses like this, it's a sloppy game. We turn it over several times. We almost win but fall just short.

The way we were able to relax and remain methodical was impressive. Brees is a master of the game like no one else. That was no easy task in that house against that defense. We slogged it out in the trenches and grinded enough of a run game to keep them honest. OL was great. This team is going places this year. Believe your eyes.

What we learned is that this team can go into any situation and adapt to get a win. This was outdoors with a lot of wind in a hostile environment and Drew and Company, with a lot of help from this understated defense, and they came away with a hard fought win. This is not a finesse team by any means.

I agree. Couldn't have put it any better. I think we would pull it off in overtime if we had too.

39 rushes, 30 passes in a game we were behind for a lot of it.

Great game by the Saints.

The craziest thing... Taysom Hill the backup QB is a huge part of this championship run!

I agree 100%.

Also, I wanted to blame Sean for not taking the 3 points on that first drive. But when I thought about it, if Sean hadn't been super agressive with fake punts and going for it on 4th down - the Saints wouldn't have even been in that positon. If we are gonna have an agressive coach like Sean, we have to accept those kind of decisions from him (to go for it). Can't have our cake and eat it too. This win feels awesome.

Good teams win close games and earn the opportunity to get lucky. Tough environment, tough defense, and we kept it close enough to win.

People are going to downplay it by saying we were “lucky.”

And you know what?

We were! And that’s okay. It was the kind of game where the team that won would have 1 lucky play go their way, and I’m more than fine with that being us.

We played a great game.

WHO DAT?!?!

It really does say a lot about this team. This could very well be a special season.

Agreed, this was a really big win. Drew Brees is dialed in unlike any other season of his great career. In my opinion, the only thing that can derail this team is the shakie defensive schemes of Dennis Allen.

Agreed, but I do wish it wasn't a given that the opposing team will score that last TD with ease when they need it, practically every time.

Also wish it wasn't a given that the refs will bombard us with flags without fail whether they are warranted or not when the home team needs said TD.
