That was a special win and says a lot about this team (2 Viewers)

Giving up two touchdowns within the two minute warnings is unacceptable. You know the team is passing every down. They better change their approach during this time or we not going where we need to go. This game should have never came down to a missed extra point. We were lucky.

It was a nice win. That was one of the tougher teams to beat at home. It took until the 4th quarter but the offense finally cracked the code.

I’m just angry Dennis Allen keeps getting to skate by. At his best vs bad offenses he rises to the level of mediocre. Apply any pressure and his playcalling falls apart.

Again, 2 minute putrid defense aside, they should be crowned the top team in the NFL today. They are in my eyes even if they had lost in OT.

I'm sorry.. I just don't think it was a "special" win. It was a great win against a great defensive opponent. Not special. This team still has that in their arsenal.

This was just a better team finishing the game. We started scared (IMHO) and I feel we played that way for a couple quarters. Then we woke up and began playing Saints football. This is a tough team. A fierce team. But we didn't come out that way this week. This team can go far but it needs to believe in itself and each other

Edit: special and important to me are two entirely different things. Very important win. Special, to me, means magical. In fact, I bet Sean Payton would agree this wasn't a "special game".. But definitely an important one. And we showed up. This team is capable of playing much better... Or maybe that's just me being a homer. Either way.
Geaux Saints!

Great hard fought win.
Even without the missed extra point.
Saints could have score a field goal in regulation or won in OT.
I thought for sure Ravens would go for 2.
That's just the opposite of what CSP would do.

This was basically Minnesota all over again. Except this time the Dennis Allens disease didn't cost them. Luck turned the other way.

Can a coach get the game ball? Because Sean Payton had a hell of a game.

He constantly had this “Gotcha” expression on his face. It’s like everything was going according to plan and it gave me confidence.

But but the Saints can’t win on the road. And definitely not outdoors. And positively not against a great defense on the road outdoors

SP is going to play the percentage to press harder on the other teams' throats, he's not going to be an old school "let's punt it away and let the pieces fall where they may" or "play to not lose" kind of coach. I agree 100% with his philosophy of taking percentage plays and keeping opposing offenses off the field, win lose or draw.

I questioned our run heavy game at first but that Ravens defense was completely gassed in the 4th. We put up 17 points on that elite defense in the 4th.

The bad 2 minute defense (again) aside, this game was special for this team. Usually, when we face #1 defenses like this, it's a sloppy game. We turn it over several times. We almost win but fall just short.

The way we were able to relax and remain methodical was impressive. Brees is a master of the game like no one else. That was no easy task in that house against that defense. We slogged it out in the trenches and grinded enough of a run game to keep them honest. OL was great. This team is going places this year. Believe your eyes.

Bonchie, this is spot on. Holy smokes what a game.

Some people still think these are the 2009 and 2011 Saints. With 2011, ok I kinda get it...but most of them forget that the Saints actually had a better road regular season record in the SB season than they did at home.
