It's not that bad. The coach that won the big one for us had some 7 win seasons as in plural.I might get depressed when I realize who our current coach is.

What was so great about that kick is i knew it was going in right after he struck it. It just sounded so good off his foot. Incredible feeling i’ll never forget. Not gonna lie, when the kick went through I cried, just like I did when my first son was born. That game was an emotional roller coaster.
When the kick went through? I cried just now watching the video. Not gonna lie, when the kick went through I cried, just like I did when my first son was born. That game was an emotional roller coaster.
And if you really wanna get into this, here’s the ESPN postgame.
One of the greatest games ever.
late in the play, against his body, across the middle, for an INT. Favre gonna Favre!I remember as the Vikings were driving at the end of the 4th quarter throwing my Saints pullover in anger figuring we were screwed and going to lose. Then Favre thew back across the middle...........................
I think that NFCCG is so heartbreaking for Vikings fans because the Saints then went on to win the Super Bowl. The Vikings have never won a Super Bowl, nor any other season-end championship.I think that particular NFCCG loss for Minnesota has to be more heartbreaking instead of Gary Anderson's infamous missed FG that wouldve iced it near the end of the 1998 NFCCG.
I don’t think we win the Super Bowl without losing those two games (since the third was a rest game). Like you mentioned, we were making mistakes and playing sloppy for a bit there. The team needed that kick in the butt imo. They made a bunch of mistakes through that 2009 season, had the 0-3 stretch to finish up, but turned back into monsters in the playoffs.
Guessed who coached the secondary that season?I might get depressed when I realize who our current coach is.
It sounded like an explosion off his foot. I honestly thought it got blocked, it sounded like the collision of a kicked football directly into shoulder pads… but nobody in white was even kinda close to it.What was so great about that kick is i knew it was going in right after he struck it. It just sounded so good off his foot. Incredible feeling i’ll never forget.
Winning this game was amazing.I knew I could never afford those tickets at the time. I was slightly depressed because a lifelong Saints fan I knew what it meant. Then another lifelong Saints friend of mine called me and asked me if I wanted to go. I told him there was no way because my kids were little at the time and I couldn't justify the money. He said, "What if I pay for the tickets and you pay for the hotel and food?...we HAVE to go to this together!" I didn't even hesitate..."I'm in!!" I landed in New Orleans and he was waiting for me at the airport. There was already electricity in the air and it was so good to see him again. What a surreal time that week was. We spent the whole week in New Orleans taking it all in. We were out every night in the French Quarter. Making new friends....eating the amazing food....karaoke....getting up the next morning to bloody Marys...and then doing it all over again. We were having the times of our lives. I remember a day before the game a Vikings friend of mine texted me to taunt me. I said, "I've been in this city for a week now and I have felt the energy. There is NO way you guys are gonna win this one!" And then when Hartley's kick sailed through I had tears streaming. I turned to my friend and he was also bawling (we were not the only ones.) We hugged each other and just took it all in. Truly one of the greatest experiences of my life.
