The 14th Anniversary Of The 2009 NFC Championship Game (1 Viewer)

Guessed who coached the secondary that season?
Was Allen the DC? Nope, you're talking about the guy that would go on to be an absolutely terrible HC in Oakland. :muahaha:

I will never forget that day. The week prior, we were watching the Saints vs Cardinals game and when that ended, my phone rang. My buddy in New Orleans said, “What are you doing for the NFC Championship game?” I said, “ I have no idea.” He said, “Get you’re a** down here. I have your ticket.” I looked at my wife and she said, “Go!” So thankful for that day. The most stressful and elated I have been. I can remember like it was yesterday. When Garrett Hartley lined up for the kick, kicked it, we saw the endzone crowd cheer and then is just spread like wildfire. We cheered, we cried, we hugged everyone around us and it was magical. The photo I snapped was from when they presented the NFC Championship Trophy. Needless to say, that night was electric! I was worn out on Monday but what a game!

By far the most nerve-racking game I have ever watched in any sport. That was a roller coaster. That 4th quarter and overtime took years off my life but it was worth it.

I'll never forget that feeling I had when the Vikings had the ball driving to win the game. It was looking dire but for some reason I had a good feeling. The opposite of the Vernon Davis game and the no call game. I never felt good during those games. Had a bad feeling the entire time.

I sat in the plaza as the Vikings were driving I caught something falling out of the corner of my eye. It was a a silver trinket with a Saints emblem on the front and believe on the back. I started telling the 3 people at the game with me that we were gonna win look what I found. Next play to many men in the huddle , the rest is history. We take it now to every game

You had great seats. We were up higher near the opposite endzone from where the kick was made. And yes my wife was the same way, "GO"

And btw, I still have confetti that fell after the game. It was little fleur de lis glitter confetti lol
