With the way TEs have gashed the Saints (LaPorta, Hockensen, etc.), this could get ugly.

If/When that happens, the LBs will start floating back in coverage leaving more real estate for TD to shove it down the throat of the defense on a QB scramble.

Who think the Saints will have no problem with the Giants Sunday. I'm not one of them. New York has two things goings for them the Saints have had problems with. A big running back and a QB who can scramble for big yards. The latter is something that has been bothering me the most. If the Saints allow Devito to run amuck in a game where I think time of possession will be critical I think it dooms the Saints.

Talent-wise, we should win. Our coaching ability to game plan, make unpredictable offensive playcalls, and make in-game adjustments is our handicap. If the players can overcome the way Allen and Carmichael call the game, we will win.

I’m not sure why they can’t but if they could, our record would be better.

Barkley is going to run wild against the Saints porous run defense… that will take a lot of the pressure off of “Tommy Cutlets” and make play action effective.
If the coverage holds up… DeVito will just take off and typically get to at least the 2nd level and keep the Giants in plus territory.

Saints are at a huge disadvantage in the coaching matchup.

We all see plain as day that Allen is not a competent HC… but he’s stuck around because he’s thought of as a great defensive coach… but now the defense has been exposed and the flaws in his scheme are blatant (mobile QBs are any Dennis Allen defense’s kryptonite).

What’s the point in keeping him around even he’s doing nothing well?
