The loser of the "title" game will be the real winner (1 Viewer)

Eh, your smak is about as strong as an Eric Ainge pass. I'll check back to see when amateur hour is over.

I made my point and I'm sticking to it, kool-aid slurps.

Are you LC posing on LHJ's account?

Have a good New Years at home... Holiday bowl...says it all. Not "smak"(sic)...just facts.....

Amateur hour was watching the last quarter of the UT-Texas A&M game.:covri:

I've heard some LSU fans say that they did not want us to make it to the NC because it would just be another national title with an asterick. The bottom line is we hold the crystal football for 2003 and USC doesn't. If we win this one, we will hold the crystal ball, not USC, UGA, Hawaii, Kansas etc etc. They can put 50 astericks by it its not gonna matter. A championship is a championship.

I agree, I'm for a playoff and the BCS isn't perfect and every year somebody will have a gripe but there's no way in hell I'm giving back that 2003 Crystal ball...:9:

Another year, another fraud...

The loser of the title game will the real winner, because they will not carry the phony trophy of the biggest fraud in sports.

Nothing will be settled on the field in college football this year. Nothing.

Again, legitimate teams got screwed out of a title game shot, though this year will be remarkable for screwing at least 5 teams, maybe more.

Is there not one college president, conference commissioner, or top tier coach who will come out and declare what a fraud it is to the sport and the players where a playoff that would settle the championship on the field -- is hijacked for a pedestal that makes the bowls, conferences, and their corporate sponsors bigger than the game?

And stop feeding us a line about "the most exciting regular season." The wells are poisoned.

Tiger fans, you will better served to lose and let Ohio State carry carry the albatross of being the BCS poster child. Win, and the frustration of sharing the last title with AP champion USC will be a pittance to the frustration of being the prostitute of the Lords of College Football.

It's called SEC/ELITE school quality football..and that is why LSU is going to the big dance. It's really that simple.

;)

I am not LC, though he sure has ya'll perfectly choreographed.

And I was not out to make this about Texas-LSU, because after all, 14-0 and beating Ohio State, Oklahoma, and the greatest USC team ever is The Gold Standard.

So put your twirling batons back in your fruit-of-the-looms, and just say, you would rather LSU win an 8-team playoff, which you could do easily, rather than being made the ketamine mistress of the Allstate Insurance Company.

Dude go pee in someone elses cornflakes. If Texas was in LSU's position you honestly expect me to believe you would want Texas to lose? Yeah I thought so.

Oh, that's easy. I'd be flat-out embarrassed for my university if I was placed in a title game with 2 losses, or 1-loss against a Pop Warner schedule, having earned nothing on the field that legitimately separates me from other teams, regardless of conference.

I didnt ask you if you would be embarrassed. I asked you if you would want Texas to lose, regardless of how they got there or what their record was.

Take comfort in knowing that, after week 5, none of this was UT's problem anymore.

And again, this has nothing to do with what happens on the field.

It's not UT's problem because William Powers and DeLoss Dodds are just as wimpy as any university's Prez and AD in nourishing themselves at the bosom of the corporate boardroom, and not by the guts, blood, and sweat of the athletes you, I, and everybody else who posts here admire and draw so much validation from.

There is no asterisk no matter who wins. These were the rules determined before the season began and this is how it played out. I don't really understand why you are so upset. No playoff is in place. The schedules are what they are. LSU won six of seven games against ranked opponents, so IMO (and most others by the way) they were the most deserving of the rest of the nation's teams to play OSU in the title game. Who do you think was more deserving? Or do you think they should just call the whole thing off and just award the title to Ohio State?

It must be tough to go through life always ****** off at everything.

If I'm in this year's Corporate Sponsorwank Final game, under this year's circumstances, I absolutely would rather Texas lose.
