The MCU Fantastic Four (2 Viewers)

Yeah, I saw this earlier today, no idea if it’s got any credibility…

Today, Screen Geek brings word that "Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige is considering bringing Jonathan Majors back into the MCU. The idea is for Majors to appear in a future Marvel project to wrap up some loose ends with Kang and close the character’s story."

Sounds like more than one place ran with that because I don't think what I read was from them but it could've been. It was worded almost exactly the same.

There was a new rumor that just came out that Feige is thinking about bringing Majors back as Kang and they made it sound like it would be after Secret Wars and it would be to wrap things up. I didn't fully look into it, but weren't the charges against him dropped? That's what I heard at least.

It wasn't from a credible source. Just one of those sites that makes clickbait BS. Nobody credible has reported it. It got picked up by all the usual suspects and run like real news, but absolutely no one with an established track record of accuracy has claimed it.

I'll again say what I always say in these instances: unless it is reported by a trade publication (Variety, Deadline, Hollywood Reporter etc.) Or one of an increasingly small handful of reliable leakers/insiders (there used to be more of these guys, but Marvel has plugged their leaky ship big time over the past few years), do not believe it.

Anyway, TMZ (which while trashy, is actually very accurate) has already thrown cold water on the whole thing:

At just 1 minute 38 seconds, the Fantastic Four: First Steps trailer doesn't give away all that much – unless you care deeply about when Marvel's First Family sit down for dinner on Sundays or what not-so-'60s hairstyles everyone is sporting in the movie.

Hidden amongst all the exposition ("Before we went up the first time, you couldn't turn invisible, Ben wasn't a rock, and Johnny never caught fire"), though, is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment that might just give away how the titular team will eventually join the present-day MCU...

At 0:39, Pedro Pascal's Reed Richards can be seen scribbling formulas and equations on a chalkboard and, if you look carefully, you'll spot a reference to something called a 'multiverse bridge' in his notes. "Entrance" and "exit" it reads on either side of the diagram, which has lead many fans to conclude that that'll be the way Mr. Fantastic and co wind up on the Sacred Timeline.

Not only would that explain why the spandex-loving do-gooders haven't got involved in Avengers-style shenanigans before, it could also make sense of why Doctor Doom looks like Robert Downey Jr's Iron Man in future films. (It's long been suspected that he'll be a Tony Stark variant of some sort)............
